How To Play
Aim your shot by moving your mouse. Adjust shot power by clicking and dragging - the longer you drag, the more powerful the shot. Let go to take your shot.
Arrow icons appearing around the cue ball indicate you can reposition it by clicking and dragging. This happens at two times:
1. When breaking to start the game
2. After your opponent commits a foul
To add ball spin to your shots, click and drag on the cue ball icon at the top of the screen and reposition the red dot.
Official Rules
This game follows World Pool-Billiards Association (WPA) rules:
Your ball type (solids or stripes) is determined by the first ball you legally pocket after the break. You continue shooting as long as you legally pocket your balls or any ball on the break.
A foul occurs when you:
- Pocket the cue ball
- Miss all balls with the cue ball
- Hit an opponent's ball first
- Fail to either pocket a ball or have any ball touch a rail after contact
After any foul, your opponent gets "ball in hand", meaning they can place the cue ball anywhere and shoot in any direction.
If you pocket both your ball and an opponent's ball in one shot, your turn ends.
To win, pocket all your assigned balls first, then legally sink the 8 ball. Pocketing the 8 ball before clearing your other balls results in an immediate loss. When shooting for the 8 ball, fouling only loses the game if you pocket both the cue ball and the 8 ball.
Tips for Beginners
1. Master ball spin (English) to create better shooting angles and control where the cue ball stops.
2. Use the rails strategically - they can help you make otherwise impossible shots.
3. Play defensive when needed. If you have no good shots, focus on leaving the cue ball in a difficult position for your opponent rather than taking a risky shot.
